The Benefits of Text Alerts for Personal Customers
We will be offering a new free text alert service, from February 2018, which will help you stay in control of your money and help prevent fraud on your personal current account.
We‘ll send you an alert about your current account1 for the following reasons:
- If there aren’t enough funds in your account to pay a cheque, standing order or direct debit.
- A payment was refused due to lack of funds.
- If your current account has gone into an unarranged overdraft.

We don’t charge for sending you text alerts. Most mobile phone companies don’t charge you for receiving texts, although you should check with them if you’re unsure – especially if you think you might receive texts whilst overseas.
Please make sure we have an up-to-date mobile number for you. You can update your mobile number by logging in to 365 Online Banking.
