Is your computer software up to date?

What does this mean?

Bank of Ireland takes your online security very seriously and we are making some changes to keep you, your data and your online banking more secure. These changes will remove access to 365online on some older operating systems and internet browsers.

How will that affect you?

From 30th March, customers using older operating systems and internet browsers will no longer be able to log on to 365online using this old software.

What do you need to do?

You may need to update your operating system and or internet browser to access 365online.

Bank of Ireland is not in a position to recommend any particular PC or Mac operating system or internet browser, you can contact your original computer provider or a local stockist for more information on how to upgrade your operating system and internet browser.

How to check your operating system

PC:

  • Right click on the computer icon on your desktop
  • Click on ‘Properties’
  • Your version of operating system will be displayed beside the Windows logo.

Mac:

  • Click on the Apple Menu in the top left of the Screen.
  • Select the “About this Mac” from the Overview panel

How to check your internet browser

PC:

  • Open the browser
  • Click on help on the top right of the menu bar
  • Click about “Browser name”
  • The details of the browser will be displayed.

Mac:

  • Open the browser
  • Click on the name of the browser in the top left of the menu bar
  • Click on about “Browser name”
  • The details of the browser will be displayed.

Ways to access 365online

You will be able to access 365online using:

  • A computer running a newer version of popular operating systems and internet browsers, including

Operating systems

    • Microsoft (Vista, Windows, 7,8, 8.1 or 10 or later version).
    • Mac OS ( OS X 10.9.6 or 10.9.x)
    • Chrome OS (49.0 or later )
    • Linux (using one of the browsers that supports TLS 1.2 or later)

Internet browsers

    • Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 11 +
    • Mozilla Firefox Version 27 +
    • Google Chrome Version 30 +
    • Safari Version 7 +
  • Bank of Ireland’s mobile device apps which are available in the App and Play stores
  • The internet browser available on your mobile device
  • Bank of Ireland kiosks which are available in your local Bank of Ireland branch.
