Acceptable Documents

When opening an account with us, you will need to provide some documents that help to verify your identity and address as required by the law. The list of acceptable document types are detailed below, two forms of identification are required, one from Box A plus one from Box B:

Certification

We don’t need you to send us your original documents. Our Northern Ireland branch staff can certify copies from an original or you can go to one of the following:

  • Bank or Building Society official
  • FCA registered broker or introducer
  • Justice of the Peace, Commissioner of Oaths or Notary Public
  • Accountant, Solicitor or Barrister
  • Attorney at Law

(You might be charged a fee depending on who you ask to certify your documents)

1 Electronic or digital versions of bills and statements can only be accepted where a passport, driving licence or EU ID card is provided as the Box A. All documents produced by customer must be originals.
