Modernised Bank of Ireland Bangor branch host ‘meet the team’ event

Colin Pearson, Branch Manager at Bank of Ireland Bangor, recently welcomed customers and representatives from local community organisations to take a tour of the newly modernised branch followed by a reception. The refurbishment is part of a £7m investment in branches and new technology services in Northern Ireland.

During the event, guests heard more about the longstanding history of the branch as well as the refurbishment and the Bank’s continued commitment to serving its customers and the wider community across the Bangor and North Down area.

Those in attendance at the event included The Mayor of Ards & North Down Borough Council, Councillor Jennifer Gilmour, alongside representatives from a range of commercial and community organisations, including Brainwaves NI and K9 Search and Rescue who have both received funding from Bank of Ireland’s Begin Together Fund.

Speaking at the event, the Mayor said: “I very warmly welcome the significant investment by Bank of Ireland and the modern facility here at Bangor very much demonstrates the bank’s continued dedication to serving the needs of its local customers and the wider Ards & North Down community.

“It’s great to be here alongside the wider community to see and celebrate this modern facility.”

Speaking at the event, George Higginson, Managing Director NI and UK Strategic Partnerships, Bank of Ireland UK said: “Our branch network is a very important part of how we serve our customers and the community and we are delighted to welcome so many of our customers and community partners to our newly refurbished and modern branch facility in Bangor,” he said.

“The team here in the branch provide a warm welcome and great service to all our customers and I encourage everyone right across the community to drop-in and see how we can meet their personal and business banking needs.”
