Bank of Ireland UK builds on success within the intermediary market with new partnership

30 March 2015

Bank of Ireland UK is today unveiling a new partnership with the Openwork network which will provide customers with further choice across the UK mortgage market.

The agreement between Bank of Ireland for Intermediaries and one of the largest financial advice networks in the UK, forms the latest part of the business’ roll-out strategy for 2015, which aims to widen intermediary distribution as part of the Bank’s growth plans.

The announcement follows BOI UK’s re-entry into the British intermediary mortgage market in December under its own brand, via a pilot with three estate agencies. This partnership was extended earlier this year, providing increased choice and service to customers.

Alison Pallett director of sales, Bank of Ireland UK said “I’m delighted to announce that the Bank is extending its distribution in the UK intermediary mortgage market with Openwork.”

“This is an exciting time for us and a big step forward in our growth agenda. We’ve expanded our sales and underwriting teams, and opened a new processing centre, to support our expansion and to ensure we continue to deliver excellent service. We’re also developing a new mortgage platform that will launch later this year”.

Paul Shearman, Proposition Director for Openwork, commented on the launch; “Our partnership with Bank of Ireland comes as part of our desire to work with the very best of the UK’s lenders. With such a strong history of lending in the intermediary market, I am delighted to be introducing Bank of Ireland products to our advisers and know they will be well received across the network”.
