A change to current and call account statement frequency

To meet requirements under the Payment Service Regulations, banks must provide certain accounts with transaction information on at least a monthly basis.

For Bank of Ireland UK, this impacts NI and GB Business current and call accounts.

To meet this new regulation, from 13th July the above accounts will now have their statements produced at least monthly.

So, if you previously had statements sent to you quarterly or annually, you will now receive them monthly.

  A. To ensure we continue to meet these regulations, we are no longer able to offer you the option to select a statement frequency of less than monthly.

• Q. I receive statements more frequently than monthly – will I continue to receive these?

  A. Yes, customers who receive more frequent statements (e.g. weekly or fortnightly) will not be impacted by this change and will remain on their current statement frequency.

• Q. I want to turn off paper statements. How do I do this?

  A. Customers with a Business/Personal current account who are registered for 365 Digital & Phone Banking can automatically receive statements electronically and can opt-out of paper statements via the ‘Manage Accounts’ menu at any time.
