What our customers say

Supply chain disruption and cost price inflation have been challenging for many businesses, but we have been able to navigate those challenges by having access to a range of tailored funding options from Bank of Ireland UK. We have had great support from our local relationship manager, and that, alongside funding support from the team in Commercial Finance through Invoice Finance and Stockline, has been invaluable to our continued success.

Nial Douglas, Managing Director, Niche Drinks Co. Ltd

We identified quality suppliers in Europe & the Far East. To take advantage of the cost savings available we needed to buy in bulk and often pay for goods in advance. We recognised the need for a flexible funding solution to free up cash tied up within our debtor book. We partnered with Commercial Finance who provided us with an Invoice Discounting facility. This has allowed Priority Truck Parts to develop its product range and manage costs.

Paul Owens, Director, Priority Truck Parts Ltd

We moved to Commercial Finance from another provider in early 2023. The facilities provided by Commercial Finance as part of a wider package of funding from Bank of Ireland UK has enabled us to concentrate on growing our business as we seek to take it to the next level, secure in the knowledge that the funding available will grow with us as our sales increase. The availability of Stockline, alongside Invoice Discounting, gives us flexibility in being able to approach key suppliers to avail of specific deals or special rates as they come available. It is also a comfort to know that we have a locally-based relationship manager and account executive, available to discuss the needs of the business so together we can adopt an approach tailor-made for our business needs.

Damien Nixon, Director, Rubber and Plastic Products (NI) Ltd

More than fifteen years ago MS Timber Ltd reviewed our finance and banking arrangements and as a result we came onboard with Bank of Ireland Commercial Finance. The partnership has continued to develop, even through a worldwide pandemic and more recently a management buyout. MS Timber Ltd in now trading as MS TRADEWOOD. With the support of Commercial Finance , our business has gone from strength to strength. In February of this year, we undertook a significant expansion involving a merger with another well-known and respected Belfast importer, Tradewood & Co. We have relocated and the new entity, MS TRADEWOOD is now trading from a purpose-built warehouse located in M2 Business Park, Duncrue. Strategically located just one mile from the main Belfast Container Port & adjacent to the M1, M2 & M3 motorways we are well placed to deliver to customers throughout Ireland. Working with Bank of Ireland Commercial Finance as a trusted partner gave us the confidence to proceed with this new opportunity. Knowing the Bank of Ireland are there to provide the finance solutions required is a great comfort. Relationships really do matter and we have great ones with the Bank of Ireland team as a whole. From the dealers on the currency desk with whom we speak almost daily to the relationship managers who oversee the facilities – we appreciate the support!
