Letting my residential property
If you’re thinking of letting out your residential property, you’ll need our agreement to do so. This is because you’re changing the nature of the loan we made to you. You can find more information below.
Perhaps your job is taking you away for a while? Or maybe you need to move to be closer to a family member or loved one you’re caring for? Whatever your reason, the good news is that you can apply to let out your residential property temporarily.
You’ll just need to let us know by completing one of our tenancy packs and paying the fee. It’s really important you do this as letting out your property without our formal consent would be a breach of the terms and conditions of your mortgage.
You’ll find details of the fee you’ll need to pay for letting your residential property in our Tariff of Mortgage Charges.
If you decide to let out your residential property permanently, you may need to convert your mortgage to Buy to Let. With any application to switch to a Buy to Let mortgage, we’ll need to carry out affordability and credit checks.
When you return your completed tenancy pack, please also remember to include a cheque or make a payment online to cover the fee.
