Make a payment online

When you’re busy we know it can sometimes be difficult to fit things into your daily routine. That’s why we offer a quick and easy way to make a mortgage payment online. As it’s available 24/7, 365 days a year, you can use it whenever it suits you.

Overview

Use our handy online tool to pay:

  • Regular monthly payment
  • Lump sum overpayment
  • Redemption payment
  • Mortgage related fees

Before making an online payment, you’ll need to have the following to hand:

  • Your mortgage account number (which can be found on your annual mortgage statement)
  • The postcode of your property
  • Your debit/credit card

Online Payments are limited to £12,000. If you want to make a payment over this amount, please have a look at our other payment options.

Make an online payment

You can also make an overpayment through your customer hub. You’ll be able to see your remaining overpayment allowance and the total overpaid this year.

If you’re currently within a promotional period, please remember that terms and conditions may apply to the minimum and maximum amounts you can overpay. For more information, take a look at our dedicated overpayments page.

The interest on your mortgage will be calculated monthly or annually (see your latest mortgage offer for details of which applies to you). Any payment made after 6pm on the last day of the month or the financial year ending 31 March (whichever applies to your mortgage), will not be taken into account until the end of the next interest period.

Bank of Ireland will not charge you for using this service. However, please check with your card issuer to make sure you are fully aware of any fees or interest that may apply when making a payment. Please also be aware that payments by credit card may lead to increased debt. If you find yourself facing financial difficulties, please read our Money worries section for more information and advice.
