If your client pays their mortgage by direct debit and there’s a payment due when paying off their mortgage, we may be unable to stop the direct debit from being taken. They’ll need to make sure they have sufficient funds in their bank account to pay the amount due and avoid any fees being charged by their bank. We’ll automatically arrange any refund ten days from receipt of the direct debt, so they don’t need to get in touch.*
